have you ever wondered what makes some people executive? i do, most of the time.

why bother? you might ask. i should not, but they indirectly effect all of our lives by making every interaction we have during our day worse.

the reason is almost always shareholders, other times it is incompetence, or maybe it is the combination of both all the time.

so, i am wondering, now that we have these intelligence autocomplete that can generate average human being sentences, why do we need incompetent executives at all?

the perpetual cycle where you hire, train, and nurture juniors into seniors is dead. thanks to genai the leadership who lives in a different reality thought junior work can be done by genai and they only need seniors so the junior pipeline is now broken.

not yet broken for you yet? juniors are now relying genai to ask questions more than your seniors for tasks. they talk to the dopamine machine that agrees with whatever your junior says who has no idea about what they are meddling with.

if you think your company/team/whateverthefuckyoudo is failing because you are not working hard enough to burn yourself instead of caring about a good wlb, this is for you.

have you ever think, maybe, maaaybe, your upper leadership has no idea about what they are doing?
…or that politician running that inefficient public service.
…or that person you idolise they has a vast amount of wealth because they were either born into it, or exploited their way into having more.
…or maybe its not you trashing the planet by not doing enough for your environment; i’m not saying you shouldn’t care about your environment, but if you feel bad about not doing enough, you should think more on what/who makes you think that.
